The piece on the right is another "Hang" piece. This piece was done on the Mattapan trolley line. A lot of the older writers from my generation were slowing down and a new generation of writers was making a lot of noise. Hang was one of the hungriest writers from his generation. "Soche" was also there that night although he didn't rock a piece. A lot of people have seen this pic but I never see pics of "Hang's" piece. I just thought he should get the credit for rockin' that night.
Around this time, the Mattapan line was regaining popularity as a burning line. The older Latino Kings from the Elevated Orange Line (Sen 2, Gene, Anomic,Chap, Noz, Wizdom, Romeo, Juice) were retiring and a new generation of writers was coming out of the Mattapan/Dorchester area. Although the Elevated Orange Line always remained the center of graff in Boston, the trolley line was more accessible to the writers from the Mattapan/Dorchester area. So many of the younger cats like Coz, Soche and Hang continued the legacy on the trolley line that was started by people like Maze and Soul. Jul 31, 2010 at 06:51 AM
